We're in South America! We
landed in Lima last Thursday night
where the Combonis met us at the airport and escorted us to one of
their homes. They rolled out the red carpet for us and we
enjoyed
the opportunity to meet many new people and eat delicious
Peruvian
food. Today we traveled to Trujillo where we will spend
several
days before we go on to language school.
While the people are great, the traffic and pollution in Lima is
horrific. We're happy to be in Trujillo where it
seems less
formidable. Tomorrow we will celebrate Eucharist with the
people
in our soon-to-be parish, Nuestro Señor de los Milagros.
We will also have the opportunity to see the house in which
we
will live starting in September after we complete language school.
We're very eager to start meeting the people.
Hopefully,
we'll be able to take some photos and share them with folks at home.
Let us continue to pray for one another.
