Hello family and friends!

We made the trek to Idaho from Chicago in about 2 1/2 days.  At one point, Hannah stretched in her car seat and declared, "this is sure a long car trip!" We love being back in Jerome, even though our time here is short.  We're staying in the country at Ralph's dad's house and we love the quiet! We apparently did not realize the high level of background noise present in Chicago; people, traffic, animals.

We also realize the gift we have in so many friends and family.  Seeing everyone one last time before we leave refreshes our souls.  We've met so many good people in Chicago, many of whom will continue to be part of our lives, but there is something holy and special the relationships we cherish with so many people at home.

We now face the formitable task of trimming what we take to South America into (hopefully) four suitcases. Compared to what we started with, we took very little to Chicago. Now, we can take even less to South America!

We will celebate mass with the faith community of St. Jerome's this Sunday, after which we travel to Boise where we stay until we get on the plane early morning on Thursday, June 2.

Let us continue to pray for one another.

In peace,

Ralph and Theresa May
