Founded by Mother Teresa, the Missionaries of Charity reach out to the poorest of
poor, taking in the destitute and the dying, bathing their wounds and helping those
about to pass on, to do so with dignity.
Much of the work of Capstone Missions is inspired by Mother Teresa and we are honored
to work with their contemplative house and seminary in Tijuana.
The Missionaries of Charity have a large presence in Tijuana. This is their regional
center for the Order. The facility that we have been asked to directly help is their
contemplative house not far from St. Joseph’s.
This house is for rest and contemplation to benefit the order throughout the region.
We have been asked to paint the exterior of this facility in spring of 2003. In
January 2002 we did a small project for them in painting their north outside wall
which had been covered with graffiti.
Additionally, many of the poor referred to us for construction assistance
come to us by way of the Missionaries of Charity. They work with Carmina Morfin
from San Diego to direct assistance to those most in need.
On some of our mission trips we stay at the Missionaries of Charity Seminary. We
are privileged to attend Mass with the priests, nuns and seminarians of this order.
